1, XLR: commonly known as the Cannon connector (Cannon). This kind of joint is composed of three contacts, namely 1-Ground grounding, 2-hot end (level) and 3-cold end (level). Of course, some equipment also stipulates that 3 is hot end (level);2 is cold end (-level).

2. RCA: commonly known as lotus head in China (because some types of RCA connectors look like lotus), this connector is composed of two contacts, which are respectively hot ends (grade); Cold end grounding (-grade), which is connected by coaxial cable, of course, multi-core audio line can also be used, which is often used in general household audio equipment.

3. TRS: Generally called stereo connector, it is composed of three contacts, namely: head end (level), ring end (level) and grounding (Ground). The length used on small headphones is about 3.5cm, but it is still used in professional audio at most, with a length of 6.35cm, at present, the high-impedance input and plug-in socket of professional mixer mostly use this plug, and most other audio equipment also uses this port.

4. TS: Commonly known as single tone (sound) connector, this connector is composed of two contacts, namely the head end (level) and the ground end (Ground). The length of the above two connectors used in professional audio is about 6.35cm, so I usually call it 6.35cm plug. Although the TS connector and TRS connector are the same length and similar in appearance, their specific functions can be different. TRS stereo connector can use three-core wires to transmit signals in a balanced way, but TS mono connector can only use unbalanced signal transmission.

5. MIDI connector: The connector used in MIDI applications has five pins to transmit information about MIDI.

1. microphone line: the microphone line is a two-core shielded (according to strict requirements, the core and shielding should be made of oxygen-free copper), and each core is a structure of several thin copper wires. It is usually composed of two cores, sheath layer of each core, tensile cotton yarn filler, shielding layer and outer rubber sheath layer. The outer rubber sheath layer of the microphone line is usually black, and there are different colors such as red, yellow, blue, and green. The shielding layer is divided into two types: winding and braid. Winding is the shielding layer wrapped around the two cores and the outside of the cotton yarn filler, and braid is the shielding layer wrapped around the two cores and the outside of the cotton yarn filler in a "mesh" structure. The preparation of shielded microphone cable is better than winding shielded microphone cable in terms of anti-interference ability from a physical point of view, and the price is slightly more expensive. The microphone cable can also be used as a connection between devices, but the cost is higher. It is recommended to use an audio cable when connecting devices.

2. Audio connection line: The audio connection line is also a two-core tape shielding structure similar to the microphone line. The two cores and the shielding layer are copper tinned for a silvery white appearance. The audio cable has no cotton yarn filler and has poor tensile strength, so it is rarely used for microphone connection. It can be used for short-distance temporary microphone connection under special circumstances. In audio engineering, audio cables are usually used for equipment connection inside the cabinet, because audio cables are thinner than microphone cables to facilitate the bundling of wires inside the cabinet. After bundling, audio cables are more beautiful and lower in cost than microphone cables.

3. Audio signal cable: Audio signal cable is actually a combination of several audio cables in one cable. Due to the different number of internal audio cables, there are 4, 8, 12, 24 and so on. The weight of the audio signal cable is relatively large, and there is usually a steel wire inside the cable to increase the tensile strength. Audio signal cable is mostly used for signal transmission connection between peripheral equipment and power amplifier in live performance, and signal connection from control room to stage in sound engineering.

4, speaker line: in the professional audio system amplifier and speaker connection, the resistance of the speaker line should be as low as possible, should be selected thick, short wire and reasonable wiring. Common speaker lines are multi-core, 50-core, 100-core, 200-core and other double-layer sheath lines, commonly known as gold and silver lines. There are also fixed speaker lines for indoor and mobile cable speaker lines for outdoor. The speaker line is a high-level high-current strong signal transmission line used for the connection between the power amplifier and the speaker. When selecting, select the speaker cable with different core wires according to the needs, and check whether there is an open circuit or short circuit.

5, MIDI line: usually five-core line, transmitting information about MIDI, this kind of wire is now mostly used in the keyboard, effects and other equipment.
